Set up Turn Zero in Codex #

Before adding or changing a connection, check whether start already works. Reuse a working turnzero connection. Ask once before changing the setup. In a managed workspace, give the person the host's connector steps. A command run inside the workspace does not configure the host.

For a new tzTrack and tzMesh connection, use https://turnzero.ai/mcp?products=tztrack,tzmesh. Use https://turnzero.ai/mcp if you need tzCloud. The plain address turns on every product your account has. The query can only narrow that set, and a saved selection overrides the address.

On an existing connection, use choose_products to turn on tzcloud, tztrack or tzmesh. Pass every product you want to keep on. Image generation uses tzCloud. Call create_application before generate_image, which saves the image in the application's storage.

Codex CLI or editor extension #

After approval, add turnzero from a terminal. If you chose the plain address, use it in the command:

codex mcp add turnzero --url "https://turnzero.ai/mcp?products=tztrack,tzmesh"

The person completes browser sign-in while the command waits. If it finishes without signing them in, run codex mcp login turnzero. If you're the AI, keep a waiting sign-in running and poll it. Give it at least five minutes before treating silence as a problem. If the browser cannot open, give the person the authorization link. Keep tokens and callback URLs out of chat.

Codex desktop app #

The person opens Settings → Plugins → Add → Add MCP server. Name it turnzero, choose Streamable HTTP, paste the chosen URL, and add the server. Complete browser sign-in when prompted. A desktop connection may be absent from codex mcp list.

Check in a new conversation #

Start a new Codex conversation so it loads the tools, then paste:

Check my Turn Zero connection. Call start and tell me which products are on. If the call fails or is unavailable, tell me what happened.
