Terms of Service
Turn Zero is in a beta test phase. These terms cover this website and every Turn Zero service you use during it: Turn Zero Cloud, Turn Zero Blueprint, Turn Zero Docs, and their documentation. "We" and "us" mean Turn Zero and the people who operate it. "You" means anyone who uses the site or a service, wherever you are. By signing in or using a service you accept these terms.
1. This is a test
Every service is a beta. Features, actions, packages, limits, prices, and documentation change without notice. We do not keep APIs, packages, or behaviour compatible from one day to the next during the test, and a change may break an application you built on them. We may add, change, suspend, or remove any part of a service at any time. None of this reaches section 5's promise about charges.
2. What we promise
Nothing, beyond section 5's promise about charges and the data it protects. The services are provided as they are and as they are available. We make no promise about uptime, performance, response time, support, data retention, security outcomes, or notice before a change or a shutdown. There is no service level agreement. We may suspend or end a service, or your account, at any time and for any reason, including no reason.
3. What you are responsible for
Everything you deploy, store, or send through a service, and everything your end users do with it. Keeping your credentials secret. Backing up anything you cannot afford to lose, because we may lose or delete it, except as section 5 promises at the beta's end. Using the services lawfully, under the law where you are, and without harming anyone or anything, our systems included. Paying any charge a plan states, where we bill you on section 5's terms, plus any tax your country adds to it.
4. Acceptable use
A service runs code you write, with access to the internet, beside other customers' applications. So you may not use a service, or let your application or its users use it, to do any of these:
- Break the law or infringe anyone's rights, including with any sexual content involving minors.
- Scan, probe, attack, or overload any system you are not authorized to test, ours and other customers' applications included.
- Get around the sandbox, the gateway, a quota, a plan limit, the cap on sign-ups, or a suspension, including by opening extra accounts.
- Reach another customer's data or application.
- Send spam or unsolicited bulk email.
- Host malware or phishing, or pages that impersonate a person or an organization or collect credentials under false pretenses.
- Mine cryptocurrency, run an open proxy, a VPN exit, or an anonymizing relay, or resell computing or network capacity.
- Call a third-party service against its terms, or with a key you are not allowed to use.
- Store payment card numbers yourself, or data that a law requires a certification to hold.
- Harass, threaten, or deceive people at scale.
To report an application that breaks this list, or a security weakness in a service, email abuse@turnzero.ai or write to us at the postal address in section 15. If you find a weakness, report it to us first, and go no further than showing that it exists: do not read, change, or keep anyone else's data. We may halt an application or suspend an account that breaks this list, at once and without notice.
5. Plans and charges
No plan is charged during the beta. After it, we will not charge for a Standard or Pro application unless we have told you at least thirty days ahead, by email and on the application's page. When the beta ends, we will email you once a week for those thirty days, and they are your time to enter billing details. If you have not entered them by then, the application moves to the Free plan where your account has room for it; otherwise we pause it and keep its data. A charge happens only when you, the application's owner, complete a checkout yourself. If an application holds Standard or Pro when the beta's free term ends, we will not delete its data because that term ended or because its first charge went unpaid.
If we give your account complimentary use, none of its applications is charged while it lasts. We may end complimentary use at any time, and we do not promise notice when we do: the thirty days' notice above is not owed to your account once complimentary use has ended. A charge still happens only when you complete a checkout yourself.
This section prevails over every other part of these terms, including the parts that let us change prices, services, or these terms without notice, or close an account.
6. Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Turn Zero and its operators are not liable to you or to anyone else for any loss or damage arising from a service, from its unavailability, or from a change to it, including lost data, lost profits, lost business, and downtime, whatever the legal theory. Where the law does not allow us to exclude a liability, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the month before the claim, which during the test phase may be nothing. You will cover any claim, loss, or cost we face because of your application, your data, or your use of a service.
7. Your data and content
Your code, your data, your files, and your configuration stay yours. You give us the right to store, process, and transmit them as needed to run the services. We may inspect them to operate the services, to keep them safe, or where the law requires. If your application has its own users, their data is yours too: we process it on your instructions to run the services, and you are responsible for the notices and consents those users need under the law where they are. The privacy page says what we collect, why, and who else sees it; do not send us anything you would not want stored on a cloud service.
8. Feedback
We welcome reports of anything that fails, is missing, or confuses you. Your AI tool may file a report for you, on its own initiative, while it works with a service. A report may carry the action involved, the refusal and the reference it quoted, the code site, the environment and version, identifiers such as your application's, the name of the tool, your own words, and the impact you name. Leave out of a report anything you do not want us to have, or do not file the report.
A report must never carry a secret, a password, a key, or a token, or personal data of your application's users, and we may delete a report that does. You answer for what your tool files in your name. Feedback is not your content under section 7. What you submit to us, a report, a comment, a rating, or its reason, whether you write it or your AI tool files it for you, becomes ours to keep and use as written, including where it identifies you. We may keep it for as long as we choose, and we use it only to improve the services. We reserve the right to use it to train a model, and we do not do that today. We owe you nothing for it. It stays after your account is deleted, with your identity removed from its record; the privacy page says how long a report's text is kept.
9. Ending
You can stop using a service at any time. We can close your account at any time, though never because the beta's free term ended or an application's first charge went unpaid (section 5). When an account ends, its identity data is erased at once, its applications are torn down with their databases and files the same day, and database backups reach back 35 days, so what the deletion erased leaves them 35 days later. Export what you need before you delete the account. The privacy page says what remains after a deletion.
10. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms at any time by publishing a new version on this page with a new date. Using a service after a change is accepting it. A change never lets us charge you without section 5's notice and your own checkout, or delete data that section 5 protects.
11. Who may use the services
You must be at least 13 years old, or older where the law where you live sets a higher age for using an online service, and if you are under 18 a parent or guardian must agree to these terms for you. The services are offered to developers and businesses for building and running applications; if you use them for personal purposes, you do so on these same terms as far as your local law allows. You may not use a service if you are in a country the United States embargoes, if you are on a United States sanctions list, or if the law where you are forbids it.
12. Where we operate
We operate from Texas, in the United States, and we run the services in a cloud provider's data centers in the United States. Wherever you are, your data is transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, and by using a service you agree to that. We make no claim that a service is appropriate or available outside the United States. You are responsible for following the laws where you are, including export and data protection laws that apply to you and to your application's users. These terms are written in English; if we ever publish a translation, the English text governs.
13. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and by the federal law of the United States where it applies. Any dispute about the services or these terms is brought only in the state or federal courts in Travis County, Texas, and you agree to that venue wherever you are. Before either of us files anything, we each agree to write to the other about the dispute and allow thirty days for a reply. Where the law where you live gives you a right that these terms cannot take away, including a right to bring a claim in your own courts, that right stands, and the rest of these terms still applies.
14. The whole agreement
These terms are the entire agreement between you and us for the test phase. Nothing said elsewhere, in documentation, in chat, or by a tool, adds an obligation on us. If a part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. We may transfer this agreement to a successor of our business; you may not transfer it.
15. Contact
Turn Zero, LLC, PO Box 26500, Austin, TX 78755, United States. Write to this address for any notice under these terms. You may also send a notice to notices@turnzero.ai. That mailbox is for notices under these terms and for the requests and reports the privacy page names; it is not a support channel.
For anything else, you may email contact@turnzero.ai. A message to that address may not get an answer. To report a service issue or a bug, ask your AI tool to file it with the platform, as section 8 describes; that is the preferred route.
