Turn Zero Cloud compared with Replit
Replit is an AI app builder and cloud workspace: Replit Agent writes an application from your prompts, runs it in Replit's cloud, and publishes it from there. Turn Zero Cloud is a production backend for an application your own coding agent, Claude Code or Codex, builds on your machine: it runs the application's Node.js server beside its database, file storage, sign-in, scheduled jobs, AI calls, and push notifications, through one MCP connection.
Replit is a product of Replit, Inc., named here for comparison only. This page is Turn Zero's, and Replit has neither reviewed nor endorsed it.
The short version
- Replit's agent builds the application in a browser workspace, and Replit runs and publishes it, with a database, storage, sign-in, and AI calls as services of that workspace. A repository imports from GitHub, and the workspace can push back to it.
- Turn Zero Cloud leaves the building to your own coding agent on your machine and runs what it builds: the application's own server at its own address, with its database, storage, sign-in, jobs, AI calls, and push notifications beside it.
- Replit prices a subscription plus usage: the agent works free within a Free Mode allowance and is billed by its effort beyond it, and publishing, the production database, storage, and AI calls draw on monthly credits, then on usage billing. Turn Zero Cloud prices per application: one free application for each account, then $10 or $35 a month.
- Both offer an MCP server. Replit's lets Claude Code send prompts to Replit Agent and publish the result; Turn Zero Cloud's lets your agent create, deploy, and operate the backend itself.
Side by side

| On | Turn Zero Cloud | Replit |
|---|---|---|
| What it is | A production backend for an application built with a coding agent: the server and its services in one place. | An AI app builder and cloud workspace: an agent that writes the application, a workspace that runs it, and publishing from the same place. |
| Who writes the code | Your own coding agent, Claude Code or Codex, on your machine, in a repository you hold. | Replit Agent, from your prompts, in a workspace in Replit's cloud, where you can edit too. A repository imports from GitHub, and the workspace can push back to it. |
| Your application's server | Hosted. A Node.js server in its own container, at its own address under ai.host. | Published at a replit.app address or a custom domain, as a snapshot of the workspace: an Autoscale deployment that follows traffic, a Reserved VM that runs all the time, a Static site, or a Scheduled deployment. |
| Database | A PostgreSQL database for each application, created with it. | A managed PostgreSQL database, development and production kept apart: the development one free and restorable to an agent checkpoint, the production one billed by compute time and storage, with rollback up to 28 days on the Pro plan. |
| Sign-in for your users | Included: accounts and passkeys, with open or invitation-only sign-up, its users managed from your coding agent. | Replit Auth, where your users sign in with a Replit account on a Replit-branded page, or Clerk, where they create accounts in your app. |
| File storage | Included, for each application. | App Storage on Google Cloud Storage, billed by space, transfer, and operations. |
| Scheduled jobs | Included, with each run's outcome recorded. | A Scheduled deployment, published on its own, at $2 a month plus compute. |
| AI calls | From inside your application, on an allowance every plan includes or on your own key. | Replit AI Integrations on the paid plans (an admin enables it on Pro and Enterprise): OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and OpenRouter models on credentials Replit manages, billed to your credits at the providers' public prices; or your own key, on any plan. |
| Push notifications | Included, to iPhone and Android. | Not a Replit service; the application can call one, Firebase or Expo among them. |
| Secrets | Stored by name through the connection, typed into your own terminal and never into the chat; an outside API's key is replaced without a redeploy. | The Secrets tool in the workspace, encrypted and read by the code as environment variables; development and production secrets are separate stores, and a changed production value goes live at the next publish. |
| Deploys, logs, and rollback | Your agent deploys and rolls back versions, promotes from a development environment when you add one, and reads each version's logs, counters, and deploy steps. | Publish again for a fresh snapshot. A checkpoint rollback restores the workspace, an earlier version is redeployed from the Publishing history, and deployment logs are read there. |
| MCP server for coding agents | One server: it creates the application, stores its secrets, deploys it, and reads its logs and status. | One server, hosted by Replit: Claude Code and other clients create an app from a prompt, send Replit Agent changes, ask it questions, and publish. |
| Free plan | One free application for each account; its capacity is on the pricing page. | Starter: daily agent credits up to a monthly cap, one published app, and 2 GB of workspace storage; AI Integrations need a paid plan. |
| Paid plans | Standard at $10 and Pro at $35 a month, for each application; every plan is free during the beta. | Core at $20 a month with $20 of monthly credits, and Pro at $100 with $100. Agent work runs free within a Free Mode allowance and is billed by its effort beyond it; publishing (an Autoscale deployment from $2 a month plus requests and compute, a Reserved VM from $15), the production database, storage, and AI calls draw on the credits, then on usage billing. |
When Replit fits better
You want one place for all of it, the agent, the editor, the running app, and the publish, in a browser, with collaborators in the same workspace, and the agent's work and the hosting on one bill.
When Turn Zero Cloud fits better
You already work with Claude Code or Codex on your own machine, in your own repository, and want what it builds to run in production without moving the work into another workspace. You want a fixed set of backend services the agent can rely on, deployed and operated by the agent through one connection, at a fixed price for each application rather than credits and usage. The application may be for the web, a phone, or the desktop.
Using both
A Replit workspace keeps its code in Git, so it can be pushed to GitHub and cloned by Claude Code on your machine. When the application needs a backend of its own, the agent creates it on Turn Zero Cloud, the data exported from Replit's database first, and points the application at the new address.
